How to draw standard Lathe in simple steps

   

     The best and simple steps to draw standard lathe. starting from lathe bed each and every parts where drawn in step wise so that it ill be very easy to learn and draw,along with it each parts have been named.I hope it will be help full to you guys especially for technical students to learn and write it your lab manual ,records or in your exams.

 Step 1:

Above figure shows the Lathe bed and support columns.While drawing  this start from the bottom of the paper because we are going to draw remaining parts on this lathe bed.

Step 2:

After writing the lathe bed . Feed box and carriage are placed above the lathe bed by drawing rectangular block on bed as shown in the figure and above the feed box head stock and 3jaw check or 4jaw check is placed .Below figure shows the head stock and 3jaw check 

To draw carriage handle or controller use pro circle so that it will be easy to draw or you can use compass .

Step 3:

  

3rd step is to draw tool post which is placed on the carriage it can be draw by using scale as shown just after the jaws.

Step 4:

Next is tail stock  which is placed at the right end of the lathe bed as shown in figure while drawing tail stock care should be taken that its dead center axis should co-inside with job axis or work piece to be machined .

as shown in figure below.

Step 5:

This completes standard lathe diagram last thing is to name the parts
